This is a series of community-based medical missions focused on providing early detection, diagnosis and prescription services for non-communicable diseases (NCD) such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and hypertension.
The program includes training and capacitating barangay health workers to be able to use innovative Short Message Service (SMS) technology to continually monitor and update the Foundation on the status of its medical mission beneficiaries.
With its pharmaceutical partner, the Foundation not only delivers medical services at the community level, it also sets up sustainable monitoring mechanisms to ensure that patients continue to receive adequate care and follow through even after the medical mission. With adequate resources, JCBF targets to cover more provinces in the country.
Programs for other health-related diseases are developed in partnership with group/community beneficiaries together with the donors.
